For first-time submissions, the Submit Article button should be selected, and all necessary steps followed to upload the manuscript along with other required information and documents.
  2. In addition to Turkish (Turkey Turkish, Azerbaijani, Kazakh, Kyrgyz, Uzbek Turkish, etc.), the journal also publishes articles in English and Russian.
  3. Submissions are first subjected to a preliminary check regarding documentation and formatting requirements, followed by a preliminary evaluation by the editors.
  4. Manuscripts must be prepared in Microsoft Office Word in accordance with the journal template. It is mandatory to use the template file when submitting a study. Manuscripts that do not comply with the template will be subject to editorial rejection without entering the peer-review process.
  5. In accordance with the double-blind peer review principles, information regarding the author(s) must not be included in the initial file uploaded to the system.
  6. Following the evaluation process, authors must enter their ORCID information into the system and add it to the author information section on the template for all contributors. Authors can obtain their ORCID IDs from https://orcid.org/signin.
  7. Authors are required to analyze their submissions using plagiarism detection software such as iThenticate or Turnitin and upload both the analysis report and the signed copyright transfer form to the system.
  8. The overall similarity index of the submitted manuscripts must be less than 20%, and the citation rate from a single source must be below 5%. Submissions from author(s) previously rejected due to ethical/plagiarism issues will not be processed.

  10. Anonymous sources whose content has not undergone scientific audit should not be used in submissions. Manuscripts must be original and not involved in any other publication process. Full-text papers previously published in conference proceedings are not accepted. By submitting a manuscript, authors are deemed to have accepted these rules. No royalties are paid to authors. The Editorial Board reserves the right to reject, request revisions, or reorganize the manuscripts.

Manuscript Formatting Guidelines

1 Authors must prepare and submit their manuscripts in Microsoft Office Word format according to the layout template available on the journal website. Submissions that do not comply with the template will be subject to editorial rejection. All rules regarding manuscript formatting are detailed within the template.

  1. The manuscript text must not contain any identity information or content that may suggest the identity of the author(s).
  2. Manuscripts submitted for publication must be between 5,000 and 12,000 words in the formatted template version. The text should be justified, without end-of-line hyphenation, and prepared in 11-point "Garamond" font (except for headings) with single (1) spacing. The editorial board will decide whether to initiate the evaluation process for manuscripts that slightly exceed these limits. Paragraph margins should be based on the template, with no indentation at the beginning of paragraphs. (Paragraph settings: Before 0 pt, After 6 pt).
  3. Both Turkish and English titles must not exceed 120 words and should reflect the entire study (aim, method, findings, and results) concisely. Titles should be centered, bold, 12-point, and written in sentence case (first letters capitalized, except for conjunctions). Upon positive peer review, author names and surnames should be written in bold (first letter capitalized), and titles/affiliations should be provided clearly below the names. ORCID, email, city, and country information must be included as shown in the template.
  4. Turkish and English abstracts, including titles and text, must be written in 10-point "Garamond" font with single (1) spacing. Each abstract must contain at least 5 and at most 7 keywords, with the first letter of each keyword capitalized. The Abstract and "Öz" sections should not exceed 200 words each. For studies prepared in Turkic dialects or Russian, an abstract in the respective language/dialect must also be included. Abstracts should not contain citations or references to figures and tables.
  5. All main and sub-headings must be bold with the first letters capitalized. Headings must be numbered as demonstrated in the template.
  6. Direct quotations should be written in italics. Quotations of 40 words or fewer should be integrated within the text; quotations longer than 40 words should be written as a block (indented 1.5 cm from both left and right) with 1.5 line spacing in 10-point font. Footnotes should be avoided as much as possible, used only for essential explanations, and automatically numbered (Office Word).
  7. Text within tables must be 10-point with paragraph settings (Before 0, After 0) and single line spacing. Table titles should be labeled as "Table 1." in bold, with only the first letter of each word capitalized:

  1. Visuals such as figures and photographs should be labeled as "Figure 1." in bold, with only the first letter of each word capitalized. Visuals must not exceed the page margins and should be kept within 12x17 cm for layout purposes. Figures, charts, and images should not exceed one-third of the total text.

  1. Submissions failing to comply with the aforementioned guidelines will be returned to the author during the preliminary evaluation stage.
  2. For research requiring Ethical Committee Approval, information regarding the approval (committee name, date, and reference number) must be included in the methodology section and on the first/last page of the manuscript. Manuscripts requiring ethical approval but lacking this information will not be evaluated.
  3. In-text citations and the bibliography must strictly follow the 7th Edition (2020) of the American Psychological Association (APA) Publication Manual, as revised for the journal's specific requirements.
  4. A separate reference list must be created at the end of the manuscript on a new page. Only sources cited within the text should be included in the bibliography.
  5. Regardless of the primary language (Turkish or English), all manuscripts must include an extended abstract of at least 750 words in English.

EVALUATION PROCESS

Studies sent to "trk journal" for publication are subjected to PRE-CHECK, LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY CHECK, PLAGIARISM SCREENING and REFEREE EVALUATION.

The study in the pre-control phase is examined in terms of language adequacy and compliance with the template. It is also being scanned in the iThenticate plagiarism checker program. Attention is paid to the plagiarism that the suicide rate is 20% and below.

The study, which is examined three times during the Pre-Control phase, but fails to pass through this process, is returned to the author and is not processed again in the same publication period.

Studies that pass the Pre-Control stage are included in the evaluation process in which at least two referees take part, within the framework of the double-blind arbitration principle. Depending on the referees' evaluations, the study is accepted for publication or rejected.
